Description

A delightful dish combining the sweetness of corn with a creamy, cheesy texture, perfect as a side for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans of whole kernel corn, drained
  • 2 cans of creamed corn
  • 1 box of cornbread mix
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the whole kernel corn, creamed corn, cornbread mix, sour cream, cheddar cheese, melted butter, and beaten eggs.
  3. Mix everything together until well blended. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a mix of different cheeses or add diced jalapeños for some spice. You can also customize with bell peppers or bacon.
