Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- Rice paper wraps
- Lettuce leaves (optional, for wrapping)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add the minced garlic, soy sauce, and oyster sauce to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the fresh Thai basil leaves.
- Prepare a bowl of warm water and dip each rice paper wrap for about 10-20 seconds until soft.
- Lay the softened rice paper flat and place a few tablespoons of the beef mixture in the center.
- Optionally, add lettuce leaves for added crunch.
- Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling and roll tightly from the bottom to the top.
- Repeat with remaining rice paper and beef mixture.
- Serve immediately with dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
For best results, use fresh ingredients, and avoid soaking the rice paper too long to prevent tearing.
