Ingredients
- 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, melted butter, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until everything is combined.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, and flour. Sprinkle the pecan mixture evenly over the top of the sweet potato mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For a twist, add mini marshmallows to the topping before baking. Enable with nut-free by using crushed graham crackers instead of pecans.
