Description

A fresh and filling avocado toast loaded with creamy avocado, juicy tomatoes, and mozzarella, perfect for quick lunches and lazy breakfasts.


Ingredients

  • Sourdough bread (or any sturdy bread)
  • 1 large ripe avocado (or 2 small)
  • Cherry tomatoes or sliced tomatoes
  • Fresh mozzarella, sliced or torn
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Squeeze of lemon juice or lime juice
  • Olive oil, light drizzle
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: balsamic glaze, pesto, red pepper flakes, garlic


Instructions

  1. Toast the bread until crisp.
  2. Mash the avocado with a squeeze of lemon or lime, salt, and pepper until creamy with some chunks.
  3. Spread the mashed avocado on the toast, then layer with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil, add salt and pepper, and finish with balsamic glaze if desired.
