Ingredients
- Sourdough bread (or any sturdy bread)
- 1 large ripe avocado (or 2 small)
- Cherry tomatoes or sliced tomatoes
- Fresh mozzarella, sliced or torn
- Fresh basil leaves
- Squeeze of lemon juice or lime juice
- Olive oil, light drizzle
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: balsamic glaze, pesto, red pepper flakes, garlic
Instructions
- Toast the bread until crisp.
- Mash the avocado with a squeeze of lemon or lime, salt, and pepper until creamy with some chunks.
- Spread the mashed avocado on the toast, then layer with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.
- Drizzle with olive oil, add salt and pepper, and finish with balsamic glaze if desired.
