A fun and delicious twist on classic cookies combining peanut butter and chocolate flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 sticks butter (room temperature)
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (or a mix of chocolate and peanut butter chips)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare two ungreased baking sheets.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until well incorporated.
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until a dough forms, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a tablespoon, form dough balls and place them on the baking sheets (about 36 cookies total).
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, switching baking sheets halfway through if baking two at once.
- Let the cookies cool on a wire rack after baking.
Notes
Best served warm with milk or ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
