Description

A fun and delicious twist on classic cookies combining peanut butter and chocolate flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 sticks butter (room temperature)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (or a mix of chocolate and peanut butter chips)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare two ungreased baking sheets.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until a dough forms, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Using a tablespoon, form dough balls and place them on the baking sheets (about 36 cookies total).
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, switching baking sheets halfway through if baking two at once.
  8. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack after baking.

Notes

Best served warm with milk or ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
