Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, stirring until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
For an extra treat, serve warm with ice cream on top. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
