Ingredients
10 tostada shells (or corn tortillas, baked or fried until crisp)
1 can refried beans
1 lb ground beef
1/4 onion, finely diced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 head lettuce, finely shredded
To taste queso fresco, crumbled
1 ripe avocado, sliced
1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
Add diced onion, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper to the skillet. Cook until fragrant and beef is well seasoned.
Warm tostada shells to enhance crispness if not already cooked.
Layer refried beans down the center of each tostada.
Top with seasoned beef, shredded lettuce, crumbled queso fresco, avocado slices, and salsa.
Serve immediately.
