Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon zest
  • 1 (11-ounce) bag white chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190ºC).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and creamy using an electric mixer.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Stir in the lemon zest and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Roll the dough into ping pong-sized balls, place them on a lined cookie sheet, and flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies begin to brown slightly at the bottom.
  9. Cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a baking rack to cool completely.
