Description

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into even-sized pieces.
  2. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and let them steam dry for a minute.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter until melted.
  5. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or ricer.
  6. Gradually add the cream and butter mixture to the potatoes, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
