Description
A unique and tasty twist on classic chili, blending traditional flavors with the spicy kick of gochujang.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons gochujang
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add onions and garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Stir in gochujang, soy sauce, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add diced tomatoes and black beans, mixing well.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions.
Notes
Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang according to your taste. For vegetarian options, use lentils or textured vegetable protein.
