Description
A healthful frozen dessert that mimics a Snickers candy bar using ripe bananas, peanut butter, dark chocolate, and peanuts. Quick, easy, and packed with natural sweetness and crunch.
Ingredients
2 medium ripe bananas
4 tbsp peanut butter (or alternative like almond/sunflower seed butter)
4-5 tbsp dark chocolate chips
1/4 tsp coconut oil (or vegetable oil)
3 tbsp chopped peanuts (or almonds/cashews/seeds)
Pinch of flaky sea salt (or coarse kosher salt)
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Peel bananas, slice each in half lengthwise, then cut into 8 long slabs
Arrange banana slabs on the tray
Spread 1/2 tbsp peanut butter on each banana piece
Sprinkle chopped peanuts evenly over the peanut butter
Add a pinch of sea salt to each piece
Melt chocolate with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl
Drizzle melted chocolate over each banana slab to coat the peanut butter layer
Freeze until firm, at least 2-4 hours
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for optimal sweetness
Substitute nut allergy-friendly alternatives as needed
Microwave chocolate in 20-second intervals for smooth melting
Best stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week
