Description

French dip sliders are a delightful twist on the classic sandwich, featuring juicy roast beef, caramelized onions, and melted Swiss cheese on soft buns, served with savory au jus.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb roast beef, sliced
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup au jus for dipping
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional toppings (pickles, peppers)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté onions in a skillet over medium heat until caramelized and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Assemble the sliders with a generous amount of roast beef and a spoonful of caramelized onions in each slider bun.
  4. Top with a slice of Swiss cheese, then place assembled sliders on a baking sheet.
  5. Melt butter in a small bowl and mix in garlic powder. Brush the tops of sliders with this mixture.
  6. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until sliders are heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm with a side of au jus for dipping.

Notes

Use high-quality roast beef for the best flavor, and don’t rush the caramelization of the onions for added sweetness. Serve immediately for optimal texture.
