Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup jam (any flavor)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and salt gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Make an indentation in each ball using your thumb.
- Fill each indentation with a small spoonful of jam.
- Optionally, sprinkle with sprinkles.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature butter and avoid overmixing the dough. Consider chilling the dough if it’s too soft.
