Description
A delightful fusion of traditional lasagna and dumplings, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced (whites and greens)
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1–2 tsp chili crisp (to taste)
- Splash of rice vinegar
- ¾ tsp white pepper (or black pepper)
- 1–2 tbsp chicken broth or water
- Wonton or dumpling wrappers
- Small bowl of water (for sealing wrappers)
- Extra soy sauce or tamari (for garnish)
- Extra chili crisp (for garnish)
- Sliced scallions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Add ground pork, sliced scallions, grated garlic, and ginger to a large bowl.
- Follow with soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, chili crisp, rice vinegar, and white pepper.
- Add chicken broth or water, and mix until smooth.
- Begin layering in a deep baking dish with a thin layer of pork mixture.
- Carefully place wonton or dumpling wrappers on top, slightly overlapping.
- Continue layering until all filling is used, finishing with wrappers on top.
- Pour about 1 cup of water or broth around the edges of the dish.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake in a preheated oven until pork is cooked and wrappers are softened.
- Remove the foil and drizzle with soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili crisp to taste.
- Sprinkle sliced scallions and sesame seeds on top and serve hot.
Notes
Let the lasagna rest after baking to help flavors meld and make slicing easier.
