Ingredients
Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs (3 Pounds)
Light Brown Sugar (1 Cup)
Soy Sauce (Low-Sodium Preferred) (1 Cup)
Bourbon Flavored Syrup (Non-Alcoholic) (1/3 Cup)
Apple Cider Vinegar (2 Tablespoons)
Minced Fresh Garlic (3 Cloves)
Freshly Grated Ginger (1 Tablespoon)
Red Pepper Flakes (1/2 Teaspoon)
Instructions
Bake chicken thighs at 400°F (200°C) for 10-15 minutes until browned
Place cooked chicken in a greased slow cooker
In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, bourbon syrup, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes
Pour sauce over chicken, cover, and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours
Gently stir halfway through cooking
Turn off heat and let rest for 20 minutes before serving

For chicken breasts, reduce slow-cook time to 4 hours to prevent drying
