Description

A delightful combination of tender, slow-cooked corned beef with a crispy crust.


Ingredients

  • 4 pounds corned beef brisket
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Vegetables (carrots, potatoes, cabbage) – optional


Instructions

  1. Place the corned beef brisket in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix together the garlic, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
  4. Pour the beef broth around the brisket.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and place it on a baking sheet.
  8. Brush with olive oil.
  9. Bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy.

Notes

Use high-quality brisket for better flavor. Don’t rush the cooking process and allow it to rest before slicing.
