A delightful combination of tender, slow-cooked corned beef with a crispy crust.
Ingredients
- 4 pounds corned beef brisket
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Vegetables (carrots, potatoes, cabbage) – optional
Instructions
- Place the corned beef brisket in the slow cooker.
- Mix together the garlic, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
- Pour the beef broth around the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and place it on a baking sheet.
- Brush with olive oil.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy.
Notes
Use high-quality brisket for better flavor. Don’t rush the cooking process and allow it to rest before slicing.
