Ingredients
- 2 lbs Russet Potatoes
- 4 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1.5 teaspoons Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)
- Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry.
- Cut the potatoes into uniform wedges.
- Soak the potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes (optional but recommended).
- In a large bowl, toss the dried potato wedges with olive oil, cornstarch, and seasonings.
- Spread the seasoned wedges on the baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness at 25 minutes.
Notes
For a cheesy twist, add grated Parmesan or cheddar during the last 5 minutes of baking. Ensure wedges are not overcrowded on the baking sheet for optimal crispiness.
