Description
Delightful and easy-to-make white chocolate bars with a rich buttery flavor and sweet white chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 225g (1 cup) melted butter (cooled)
- 340g (1¾ cups) brown sugar or demerara sugar
- Two eggs
- 285g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 100g (½ cup) white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Set the oven to 180°C (356°F) and line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk the sugar and eggs together in a medium-sized bowl until well blended.
- Slowly pour in the cooled melted butter while stirring the egg mixture.
- Stir in the flour until it’s fully mixed in; the batter will get super thick.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips, making sure they’re spread out evenly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. If desired, sprinkle some sea salt on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the edges are firm and the top is golden.
- Leave it to cool completely in the tin before lifting it out and slicing it into 9 pieces.
Notes
For a fun twist, you can add nuts like chopped almonds or macadamia nuts, or vanilla extract for enhanced flavor. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
