Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix chicken, rice, soups, broth, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for 15 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider using grilled or roasted chicken, and feel free to add vegetables like peas or carrots. Cheese can be swapped for mozzarella or pepper jack for variation.
