Ingredients
2 cups frozen or fresh huckleberries (8 oz net weight)
1 cup sugar
7 cups water (2 cups boiling + 5 cups cold)
1 ½ cups fresh lemon juice
Ice for serving
Optional garnish: huckleberries, lemon slices, mint leaves
Instructions
Blend huckleberries with 1 cup cold water until liquefied
Strain puree through fine-mesh sieve to remove solids
Sprinkle sugar over boiling water and stir until dissolved
Whisk in lemon juice and huckleberry liquid
Chill mixture with remaining 5 cups cold water
Add ice and adjust sweetness before serving
