Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake with a crunchy graham cracker crust, perfect for any special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, mix sour cream with a bit of sugar and spread on top for an additional layer of creaminess.

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth batter. Let the cheesecake cool completely before refrigerating.
