Ingredients
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup fat-free Italian dressing
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
Salt to taste
Instructions
Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and half each of the garlic and onion powder
Pour Italian dressing, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire into crockpot
Add chicken breast-side down
Cook on low for 6-8 hours
Shred chicken while still moist, blending with sauce until fully combined
Adjust seasoning as needed before serving
Notes
Use halal-certified Worcestershire sauce as needed
Replace with dark meat thighs for deeper flavor (adjust to 7-8 hours cooking time)
Glaze temporarily in a finished saucepan for shinier presentation
Chill leftovers overnight for easier shredding
