Description
A flavorful and creamy garlic butter chicken skillet reminiscent of Texas Roadhouse, ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir well and allow to thicken slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, let it simmer longer or add a sprinkle of cornstarch mixed with water to the cream.
