Description

A delectable twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with creamy mozzarella and tangy sun-dried tomato pesto.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomato pesto
  • 2 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter


Instructions

  1. Spread the sun-dried tomato pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of the pesto spread on one slice of bread.
  3. Top it with the second slice of bread, with the pesto side facing down.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt.
  5. Once the butter is melted, place the assembled sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about another 3-4 minutes.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider using fresh basil or experimenting with different cheeses.
