Delightful no-bake truffles made with strawberry cake mix, frosting, and colorful sprinkles. Perfect for parties and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 box of strawberry cake mix
- 1 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of strawberry frosting
- 1-2 cups of white chocolate or candy melts
- 1 cup of sprinkles (your favorite color)
- Optional: crushed freeze-dried strawberries for extra flavor
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into small pieces in a large bowl.
- Add the strawberry frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
- Roll small portions of the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in the microwave at 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Sprinkle your choice of colored sprinkles over the truffles before the coating sets.
- Let the coated truffles set at room temperature or refrigerate for quicker hardening.
- Once set, the truffles are ready to serve and enjoy!
Notes
Truffles can be frozen for up to three months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
