Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until well combined.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of the dough into balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar.
- Place the sugared balls on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until they turn golden. Let cool on wire racks before enjoying.
