Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. Stir until well mixed.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring that it’s well coated.
- If using, add broccoli florets on top of the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Shred the chicken in the slow cooker and stir to mix in the sauce.
- Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Customize your sauce sweetness and add quick-cooking veggies in the last 30 minutes of cooking. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
