Description

A comforting dish of beef meatballs simmered in rich brown gravy, perfect for busy weekdays and cozy weekends.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs frozen or homemade beef meatballs
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1.5 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley


Instructions

  1. Place meatballs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms over the meatballs.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper.
  4. Pour sauce evenly over meatballs.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 360 minutes or HIGH for 240 minutes, until meatballs are tender and sauce is thick.
  6. Stir gently before serving and garnish with parsley if desired.
  7. Serve over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.

Notes

For extra-rich flavor, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of butter during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
