Ingredients
- 2 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks in juice
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine the pineapple chunks (with juice), sliced onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) to 480 minutes (8 hours) or until the pork is tender.
- Shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the sauce before serving.
- Garnish with green onions and serve over rice.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness by reducing brown sugar if desired.
