Description

A delightful blend of tender pork and sweet pineapple, perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks in juice
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, combine the pineapple chunks (with juice), sliced onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over the pork.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) to 480 minutes (8 hours) or until the pork is tender.
  5. Shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the sauce before serving.
  6. Garnish with green onions and serve over rice.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness by reducing brown sugar if desired.
