A creamy and comforting chicken Alfredo dish made easy in a slow cooker, perfect for busy families.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Before serving, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, shred the chicken in the slow cooker and stir in the cooked fettuccine.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, use less chicken broth. You can add vegetables like broccoli or spinach in the last hour of cooking.
