Description

A tender and flavorful pulled pork dish made in a slow cooker with zesty barbecue sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 45 pounds pork shoulder or pork butt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Buns for serving


Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
  2. Rub the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, and place it on top of the onions.
  3. Pour the BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar over the pork.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 480-600 minutes or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Remove the pork, shred it with two forks, and return it to the sauce in the slow cooker, mixing well.
  6. Serve on buns with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
