Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons whole milk or heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour your bundt or tube pan.
- Beat butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and milk to the butter and egg mixture, starting and ending with flour. Mix on low speed until combined.
- Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 75-85 minutes, using a toothpick to check for doneness.
- Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
- While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla for the glaze.
- Once cooled, drizzle glaze over the cake and let set before slicing.

Use room temperature ingredients for best results; do not overmix the batter.
