A quick and easy meal combining the sweetness of honey with robust garlic flavor, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs
- 0.5 cup Honey
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 0.25 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 2-3 Green Onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken thighs under cold water and pat dry. Season with ground black pepper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce. Whisk until blended.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken thighs for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip chicken and pour honey-garlic mixture over the top. Cover and reduce heat to medium.
- Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove chicken from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Simmer the sauce for a few minutes if a thicker glaze is desired.
- Drizzle sauce over sliced chicken and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey-garlic mixture for a few hours before cooking. You can substitute chicken thighs with boneless, skinless chicken breasts if preferred.
