Description

A delicious twist on classic nachos featuring crispy tortilla chips topped with flavorful shrimp, melted cheese, and fresh toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/4 small red onion, diced
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 bag corn tortilla chips
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel and devein the shrimp. Cut the shrimp into thirds and marinate with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper for 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the toppings: dice the tomato and red onion, slice the jalapeño, and chop the cilantro.
  4. Cook the marinated shrimp in a skillet over medium heat until they are pink, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Layer half the tortilla chips on the baking sheet, then top with half of each ingredient: shrimp, tomato, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and cheese.
  6. Add the remaining chips and repeat the layering process.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove and let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Best served hot with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream. Customize with additional toppings as desired.
