Ingredients
- 1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil (optional, for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil if desired.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Add the cooked sausage and chopped spinach to the egg mixture, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
