Description

A quick and delicious stir fry that combines sausage and cabbage for a flavorful meal, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (e.g., smoked or Italian sausage)
  • 4 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat, green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sausage and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic; sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
  5. Add the chopped cabbage and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Return the sausage to the skillet and stir in the soy sauce.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.
