A sumptuous addition to any meal, these Four-Cheese Scalloped Potatoes are rich and creamy, perfect for family gatherings or elegant dinners.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and milk, heating until warm but not boiling.
- Add in the Parmesan, cheddar, mozzarella, and blue cheese, stirring until melted and combined.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
Notes
Choose high-quality cheeses for the best flavor. Allow the dish to set for about 10 minutes before serving.
