Description
A delightful side dish featuring crispy roasted Brussels sprouts, transformed into a crunchy and flavorful treat.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 3 Tbsp olive oil (or other neutral oil)
- 1 Tbsp coconut aminos (or balsamic vinegar)
- 1 Tbsp honey (or agave or maple syrup)
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly, trim off the ends and cut them in half.
- In a cup or bowl, mix together the olive oil, coconut aminos, honey, sea salt, and garlic powder until combined.
- Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a large bowl and pour the olive oil mixture over them. Toss gently until evenly coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet with the cut side facing down, making sure to leave space between each one.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Once browned, shake the baking sheet to loosen the sprouts, then broil on high for another 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, choose fresh Brussels sprouts and avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
