Description

A delightful side dish featuring crispy roasted Brussels sprouts, transformed into a crunchy and flavorful treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil (or other neutral oil)
  • 1 Tbsp coconut aminos (or balsamic vinegar)
  • 1 Tbsp honey (or agave or maple syrup)
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly, trim off the ends and cut them in half.
  3. In a cup or bowl, mix together the olive oil, coconut aminos, honey, sea salt, and garlic powder until combined.
  4. Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a large bowl and pour the olive oil mixture over them. Toss gently until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet with the cut side facing down, making sure to leave space between each one.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Once browned, shake the baking sheet to loosen the sprouts, then broil on high for another 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, choose fresh Brussels sprouts and avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
