Description

A delicious side dish featuring roasted Brussels sprouts with crispy bacon and a tangy balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 strips bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a large baking sheet, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped bacon over the top of the Brussels sprouts.
  4. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and the bacon is crispy.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and maple syrup.
  6. Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, drizzle the balsamic glaze over the roasted sprouts and bacon. Toss to combine and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, choose fresh Brussels sprouts and avoid overcrowding the pan. Serve hot for the best texture.
