Description

Quark Coins with Oats are delicious, nutritious pancakes packed with protein and fiber, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 250 g Magerquark (low-fat quark)
  • 100 g Haferflocken (oats)
  • 2 Stück Eier (eggs)
  • 50 g Honig oder Ahornsirup (honey or maple syrup)
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt (vanilla extract)
  • 1 TL Backpulver (baking powder)
  • 1 Prise Salz (pinch of salt)
  • Zimt (nach Geschmack) (cinnamon, to taste)
  • Öl oder Butter (zum Braten) (oil or butter for frying)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the Magerquark, eggs, honey, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the quark mixture and stir everything together until a smooth, homogeneous dough forms.
  4. Get a frying pan heated over medium heat and add a little oil or butter.
  5. Using a tablespoon, drop small portions of the batter into the pan and cook the coins for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  6. Once cooked, place the Quark Coins on a kitchen towel to absorb any excess oil and serve warm.

Notes

These coins can be customized with fruit, nuts, and spices for added flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
