Description
Quark coins with oat flakes are delicious and nutritious pancakes that combine creamy quark and wholesome oats, perfect for breakfast or a light snack.
Ingredients
- 250 g Magerquark (low-fat quark)
- 100 g Haferflocken (oat flakes)
- 2 Stück Eier (2 eggs)
- 50 g Honig oder Ahornsirup (honey or maple syrup)
- 1 TL Vanilleextrakt (1 tsp vanilla extract)
- 1 TL Backpulver (1 tsp baking powder)
- 1 Prise Salz (a pinch of salt)
- Zimt (nach Geschmack) (cinnamon, to taste)
- Öl oder Butter (zum Braten) (oil or butter for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the magerquark, eggs, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the oat flakes, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the quark mixture, stirring until a homogeneous batter forms.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil or butter.
- Using a tablespoon, drop small portions of the batter onto the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown.
- Once cooked, let the quark coins drain on a paper towel and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, fry in small batches and avoid overcrowding the pan. Let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes for a better texture.
