Delicious and easy pulled chicken made in a slow cooker, perfect for sandwiches or as a topping for various dishes.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve on buns or with your favorite sides.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight in barbecue sauce. Add vegetables like onions or bell peppers for added taste, or some cayenne pepper for spice. Different sauces can be used for variations.
