A delicious and healthy twist on traditional pizza featuring cottage cheese and customizable toppings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups full-fat cottage cheese
- 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 1 cup pasta sauce (marinara or pizza sauce)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup mixed pizza toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, eggs, oregano, and garlic powder. Mix until well blended.
- In a greased baking dish, spread half of the pasta sauce across the bottom.
- Layer half of the cottage cheese mixture over the sauce and spread it evenly.
- Add your chosen pizza toppings, distributing evenly over the mixture.
- Pour the remaining pasta sauce on top, followed by the rest of the cottage cheese mixture.
- Finally, sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Customize your toppings to suit your family’s tastes. Consider letting the dish sit for a few minutes after baking for easier slicing.
