Ingredients
- 6 frozen passion fruit cubes
- 70 ml heavy cream
- 200 g white chocolate, roughly chopped
- 200 g cream cheese, at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 400 g butter cake
- 120 ml Grand Marnier (or substitute)
- 3 passion fruits, halved
- Edible flowers (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ganache: In a saucepan over low heat, combine the frozen passion fruit cubes with heavy cream. Stir until melted, then add chopped white chocolate, stirring until smooth. Pour into a jug and refrigerate.
- Make the Cream Layer: Whip the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and lemon juice, then slowly incorporate heavy cream until thick and creamy.
- Layer the Trifle: Cut butter cake into slices or cubes. Place a layer of cake in serving glasses, drizzle with Grand Marnier, add cream cheese mixture, followed by passion fruit ganache.
- Garnish: Top each glass with half a passion fruit and sprinkle with edible flowers before serving.
