Description

A deliciously crispy and cheesy chicken dish that’s perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In one bowl, mix the bread crumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a second bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
  4. Place the flour in a third bowl.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each chicken breast for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the browned chicken breasts to a baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the mozzarella cheese and minced garlic. Sprinkle this mixture on top of the chicken.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the middle.

Notes

For a crispier texture, consider adding some panko breadcrumbs. Pounding the chicken to an even thickness ensures consistent cooking.
