Description

This creamy oven baked chicken thighs recipe features tender chicken in a rich, flavorful sauce, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or oregano/thyme)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken thighs for about 3–4 minutes on each side until they turn a golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs. Allow to simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over each piece.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill before serving.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for garnish and adjust seasoning to taste. Choose an oven-safe skillet for best results.
