Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Optional: 2 tablespoons cream cheese or sour cream
- Optional: chopped parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the whole milk and water, bringing to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the pasta and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally.
- Once pasta is al dente, reduce heat and add grated Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- If using, stir in cream cheese or sour cream for extra creaminess.
- Remove from heat, let sit briefly, and serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or basil if desired.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for better flavor. Adjust creaminess by adding more cream cheese or sour cream. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
