Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, milk, egg, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Spread the remaining 1/4 cup ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped bell peppers or celery to the mixture.
