Ingredients
- 2 medium pork chops
- Salt + pepper
- 60g melted butter
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 15ml extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C / 428°F.
- Season the pork chops well with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a small pan. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped thyme, and a splash of lemon juice.
- In a hot skillet, sear the pork chops for 2 minutes on each side in the olive oil.
- Pour the butter mixture over the chops in the skillet and baste the pork with the sauce.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10–14 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes, then spoon the remaining butter sauce over the chops before serving.
Notes
Allow pork chops to come to room temperature before cooking. Don’t skip the resting time after baking for juicy meat. Experiment with different herbs for flavor variations.
