Description

A classic and hearty meatloaf recipe that combines simple ingredients, perfect for a comforting dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Spread the cup of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf for the glaze.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Mix ingredients just until combined for a tender meatloaf. Add veggies or cheese for extra flavor.
